Porto Antico, Genoa (Genova)
Continuing with our road trip in Italy, after Turin, the next stop is Genoa (Genova in Italian) … if you missed the start of our road trip, click here to join us on this epic road trip. We drove from Turin, the capital of Piemonte, to Genoa, the capital of Liguria, on the A7 motorway.

As we drove around Thurnersee on Seestrasse (see earlier posts here and here), at Gunten, we turned uphill and climbed to Sigriswil which is located at 810 m (2660 feet). Continuing with our drive to explore the two lakes – Lake Thun (Thurnersee in German) and Lake Brienz (Brienzersee) … Of the two lakes, Brienzersee is slightly smaller and the shores are more heavily wooded and much less developed than Thunersee. And there isn’t a big town like Thun at the far end of Brienzersee.
