In and around Emmental

We had lunch at this local hotel restaurant in autumn last year. It is one of several restaurants in the Lausanne area that has been awarded at least one Michelin star. The chef M. Edgard Bovier was very friendly and came out of the kitchen to chat with the patrons, including us, in French and English.

Annecy is a touristy town in the Haute-Savoie region of France, so there are restaurants and cafes everywhere you turn, especially in the old town area (see earlier post).
