Cafes, Bars & Brasseries of Paris, Part 2

This multi-part compilation is not a ‘best of’ selection; however, some of the sidewalk cafes featured are famous or historic. The photographs were captured many in passing. While we have not frequented every establishment, the idea is tempting and accomplishable. Click here to see Part 1 of the series.

Parisian street corners come alive with the lights of cafes, bars and brasseries, especially during Christmas. These spots draw in both locals and visitors, seen socializing with friends, checking phones, enjoying a cigarette, sharing secrets, flirting, or simply savoring a meal. These establishments are perches for observing the world go by, offering a front-row seat to the hustle and bustle of Paris.

Play a jazzy tune by French DJ Cam as you browse the photos.
