Chris loves traveling, takes pictures of everything, and ponders about worldbuilding in roleplaying games, while listening to all kinds of music. Sue does her own things and likes to read and tell funny stories.
We called Manhattan home in the late 90s, and in 2004, we made the move to Edgewater, right across the Hudson River from New York City. By 2010, a new job took us to Switzerland, where the idea for this blog was born as a way to stay connected with friends and family. We spent the next decade in Lausanne, a charming French-speaking city, before returning to the US and finally settling in Northern California, just a short drive from San Francisco, at the close of 2021.
For the last 10 or so years, at each year end, we compiled a list of places that we visited in the previous 12 months. These posts are handy for navigating the more than 1000 posts here.
